Decorating Basics
Saturday, January 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th from 10 am to 12 pm.
Tuesday, February 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd from 6 pm to 8 pm.

Flowers and Cake Design
Satrday, February 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th from 10 am to 12pm.

Gum Paste and Fondant
Thursday, February 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th from 6pm to 8pm.

All classes held at Hobby Lobby, Columbus, Indiana.

Time is Runnning Out!!

Don't forget to sign up for the Food Gifts Class being held on December 8th at Hope's Point!  The cost is $25 and includes all supplies.  We will cover gift baskets, presentation and you will receive recipes to use to make your own gifts.  We will be highlighting Stampin Up! products.  You can check out my website at racheltodd.stampinup.net for more Christmas ideas.  Remember to sign up by December 4th!!  If you have any questions please email me at srtodd77@sbcglobal.net.

December Classes

All December Wilton Classes have been cancelled. 

The Food Gifts class being held on December 8th at Hope's Point Baptist Church is still being held.  Please sign up for the class by December 4th so that I can make sure I have enough supplies.  You can sign up for this class on the right hand side of this blog.

Food Gifts Class

Are you looking for some creative Christmas presents that won't break the bank?

Food Gifts are becoming very popular in this economy.  They are creative and a great way to cover everyone on your list.

We will discuss gift baskets, food gift ideas and recipes, and presentation.

We will also create gift bags, tags and more.

You do not want to miss out on this class!

Where? Hope's Point 1703 Miller Ave, Shelbyville

Time?  6:00 pm to 8:30 pm

New Classes

I have been working on some new classes to offer next month but I really wanted everyone else's input.  My plan is to teach a Food Gifts Class in December.  I was also thinking about Cookies.  What I would like to know is....What do you want to learn when it comes to cake, cookie and cupcake decorating?  Is there something you have been dying to try but not really sure how to go about it?  You can post your answers in the comment area or on our Facebook page. 

Tall Cakes Class

Tall Cakes are popping up everywhere! I will teach you the steps and techniques to create "tall cakes" that will stand up straight. During this 3 hour class you will assemble and decorate your special creation. In addition to creat-ing multi-layer cakes you will receive valuable tips for serving, transporting, and storing your masterpiece.  Space is limited to 8 students.

Wilton Classes

New Wilton Classes for the months of December, January and February.  All classes are held at the Hobby Lobby in Columbus, Indiana.  Cost is $20 plus Lesson Kit and supplies.

Decorating Basics- The Wilton Method® Decorating Basics Course is the perfect place to start! Your Instructor will show you the right way to decorate, step by step, so that you experience the excitement of successfully decorating your first cake.

Mondays, November 29th, December 6th, 13th, 20th

Flowers and Cake Design- After completing Decorating Basics, Flowers and Cake Design is one of two additional Wilton Method courses you can choose. In Flowers and Cake Design, you’ll explore sophisticated ways to bring your cakes and desserts to life!

Your Wilton Method Instructor will teach you to create breathtaking icing flowers such as pansies, lilies and the famous Wilton Rose. Then, you’ll discover the secrets of arranging them in a beautifully balanced cake-top bouquet.

Tuesdays, November 30th, December 7th, 14th, 21st

Saturdays, February 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th

Fondant and Gum Paste-  Your Wilton Method Instructor will lead you every step of the way as you create amazing handshaped flowers, beautiful borders and bold accents using these easy-to-shape icings.

As you learn each technique – an artful bow, mum, rose, carnation, calla lily, rosebud, daisy, and embellished borders – you’ll be closer to your crowning achievement: A Final Course Cake that showcases your skills.

Thursdays, January 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th

All Saturday classes are from 10am to 12pm.  Weeknight classes are from 6pm to 8pm.
