Name Change

So, I guess since there have been lawsuits brought by Sprinkles Cupcakes to other bakeries with the name Sprinkles in it, I have decided to change the name of this blog.  I haven't chosen a name yet, but I will be changing soon.  I will keep you all posted on what our new name will be.  Until then, I will keep posting my schedule of classes and items that I make.  Have a great day!!

Wild Thing!

I thought I would post a couple of pictures of the Zebra Print Cupcake Tower I did the other day while I wait for my phone to ring.  I am doing a phone interview today and I REALLY want this job.  So while I wait, here you go:

I used the Wilton Cupcake Stand and decorated it using wrapping paper and ribbon.  I really liked the way it turned out.  I heard today from my client and she and her daughter were thrilled with it all!

Cupcakes in a Jar

A few days ago I was reading through some of my favorite blogs and I came upon this entry.  Cupcakes in a jar?  Yes, please!  Now, I love all things cakes, cupcakes and cookies so when I saw this I knew it was something I was going to have to try.

So, yesterday I headed off to my local store and picked up some jelly glass jars and cake mixes.  When I got home, I started off by making my favorite cupcakes: snickerdoodle.

I then took each cupcake and cut them in half.  Since I needed 3 halves for each jar, I used almost all the cupcakes.

Now the fun begins!  You just layer cupcake and icing.  You can even add sprinkles on the top.

All you need to do now is put the lids on and add a pretty ribbon and you have a great gift!  I mean, who wouldn't want one of these?  You have this great little jar so if you don't eat it all you can save it for later.  I'm thinking a little basket of different flavors would make a great gift.  They hardly take any time at all to make and are so easy.  I'm so glad I came across that blog.  What a fun idea!
